| The CENTER for Human Development was established in the year 2004 to provide professional help and assistance to the departments which fall under this CENTER. Trainer Development Programmes sponsored by DoPT are the model courses organized by the CENTER. The CENTER has taken the responsibility of training the departments in both process and domain areas |

| OBJECTIVES OF THE CENTER: |

Facilitate the departments which fall under this CENTER in formulation of training action plans, identifying the training needs, development of course material and organise training courses |

Presentation skills, Design skills, Training Needs Analysis, Evaluation of training, Experiential Learning Tools, Distance Learning Methodology, Management of training and Systematic approach to training |

Capacity building of the trainers under the Trainer Development Programmes sponsored by DoPT, GoI, i.e. |

Capacity building of trainers/officers in domain areas by organizing the trainer training courses in Right to Information, Good Governance & Citizen’s charter, Consumer protection & welfare, Child Labour, Pension Rules, Contracting etc. |

Development & review of training material including Training designs, Course overview, Trainer/course guide, Trainer material, Course material and Learner CENTERd material. Documentation of best practices and success stories. |

Networking with DoPT and Administrative Training Institute’s of the country for faculty exchange and professional help |

Use appropriate training intervention for fostering right attitude towards work and society among government officials |

During the year 2008-09, the CENTER has trained 538 participants by organising 22 courses including 6 National level courses. In the last three years the CENTER has organized 92 courses covering 1688 participants. To extend the learning even after training and there by ensure the transfer of learning, majority of the courses conducted under the Trainer Development Programme have a project work as part of the course.
The CENTER is headed by S. Sasikala, Post graduate in History and Public Administration with bachelors degree in law. She is National Resource Person in several areas under Trainer Development Programme with more than a decade of experience in training.
