DIRECTOR GENERAL’S WELCOME
As the Director General of the Dr.MCR HRD Institute of Andhra Pradesh, I have immense pleasure to welcome you to our web site. We are making all-round efforts to improve the functioning of the Institute to bring it to a national CENTER of excellence for training.
Established in 1976 as Institute of Administration, renamed as the Dr.Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute of Andhra Pradesh, the responsibility of the institute is to oversee the State and Central Government training initiatives and implementation of Training Plans.
During the year 2009-2010, the Institute conducted
403 training programmes and trained about 16000 employees. The Institute has also conducted, for the first time in its history, a 4-month Foundation training program during September - December 2008 to 184 Officers pertaining to the Central Civil Services as part of the 82nd Foundation Course parallel chapter of LBSNAA, Mussoorie. The way the 82nd Foundation Course was organized by the MCR HRD IAP got the appreciation of LBSNAA, Mussoorie
and from Department of Personnel & Training,
Government of India. Subsequently, 83rd
Foundation Training was also conducted by the
Institute during September - December 2009 to 181
Officers, 85th Foundation Training was
also conducted with 183 Officer's Trainees. Now
86th Foundation Training during
September - December 2011 is in progress with 178
Officer's Trainees. Apart from its primary mandate of conducting various training programmes, the Institute is also running several
specialized Centers to develop a store house of expertise in various sectors of governance.
The increased demand to meet the training requirements has prompted us not only to enhance the quality of training to a higher level but also necessitated to create world class facilities and other infrastructure. We got ISO 9001:2000 certification in the year 2004. The Institute now has state of art Auditorium, Computer Labs, Class Rooms, Video Conference System, Games and Sports facilities to create an excellent training atmosphere in the campus.
